Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Ciechu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Kozyra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ciechu.
Ciechu throws a sloppy head kick and Kozyra moves out of range easily.

Kozyra takes the fight into the clinch.

Kozyra lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Mateusz Ciechu has been cut.
Kozyra's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kozyra is pushing Ciechu up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The referee is keeping an eye on Kozyra - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Kozyra creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ciechu's defenses.
Ciechu is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kozyra pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Mateusz Ciechu's cut is getting worse.
With the fighters up against the cage, Kozyra throws an elbow but misses.

Ciechu is looking to control Kozyra's arms but Kozyra gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ciechu has his back to the cage.

Ciechu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kozyra walks away with a smile on his face. Ciechu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kozyra has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ciechu is trying to trip Kozyra. He has hold of a leg but Kozyra is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ciechu persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kozyra is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ciechu is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kozyra is on top in guard.

The referee asks Kozyra politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kozyra prefers to stall for the moment though.

Kozyra is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Kozyra extends the arm and Ciechu is forced to tap!
