The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLellan closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lyons counters by moving into the clinch.
McLellan tries to land knees in the clinch but Lyons avoids the damage to the body.
McLellan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lyons is defending well for now.
Lyons blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Lyons has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McLellan is trying to keep an underhook but Lyons manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lyons has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McLellan defend it? Lyons steps over the head and cranks it - McLellan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lyons!
