Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Nikitin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xaris Xaris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikitin comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot - The Heretic Anthem. Xaris Xaris is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikitin is looking to clinch.
Nikitin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Xaris circles away.

Xaris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Xaris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nikitin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nikitin is on top in guard.
Nikitin forces his way into half guard.
Nikitin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Xaris!

Nikitin has hold of Xaris's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Xaris manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nikitin quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Nikitin but it's paid off an Xaris is forced to tap! Nice work by Nikitin.
