Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jew Su (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Martin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jew Su!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martin drives through with a takedown into guard.
Martin won't allow Su to sweep him here.
Su bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Martin's guard.
Su passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Martin is trying to strike from the bottom but Su has passed into full mount.
Martin tries to hold on but Su postures up.

Su is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Martin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Su moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Martin throws a right and a left that Su avoids nicely.
Martin misses with a low kick.
Su lands with a kick to the ribs.
Martin is breathing heavily.
Martin tries to bum rush Su with a series of wild strikes but Su uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Su avoids the head kick by Martin.

A nice inside leg kick there by Su. That's going to slow Martin down.
Su tries to clinch but Martin moves out of range.

and Su counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Martin's guard now.
Su throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Martin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Su stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Martin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Su thows a big elbow that misses.
Martin throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Martin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Su stops Martin from standing up.
Su postures up and lands a big shot to Martin's brow.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Su swings for the body but Martin moves out of range.
Martin keeps the fight on the outside.

Su moves into range and clinches up with Martin.
Martin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Su is looking to stand up but Martin isn't so interested in that idea.
Martin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Martin throws a series of punches but Su moves out of range.

and Martin counters with a nice uppercut.
Su moves out of range of the body kick from Martin.
Martin ducks right into an uppercut from Su.

Su is looking for a kimura but Martin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Su to get the leverage.
Martin tries to roll over but Su keeps him under control.
Martin is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Martin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Su.
Su scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Su is just content to waste time from the top position. Martin takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Su throws a shot from downtown. Martin moves away and avoids it.
Su avoids the head kick by Martin.
Martin thows a leg kick but Su checks it

and Su counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Martin keeping moving, preventing Su from controlling successfully.

Su wants to control but Martin is keeping him busy.

Su has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Martin wants to hit a switch here but Su passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Martin there!
Su can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Martin is looking to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Su cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Martin is desperately trying to improve his position but Su has a good base and remains in mount.
Martin is trying to stand.
Martin swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Martin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Martin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Su looking to secure an arm triangle but Martin defends it well.
Martin is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Su looking to control and managing it successfully.
Su lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jew Su showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Su bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Su trying to control the position but Martin is working away.
Martin is trying to work for a sweep but Su has mounted him!

Su stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Su rushes Martin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Su pulls guard successfully.
Su is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Su gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Martin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jew Su comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Su has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
