PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Reskird Hinterman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Sevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hinterman might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg - Deep Cover. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sven Sevenson!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nice combo by Sevenson! Oh, that's hurt him - Hinterman falls to the canvas and Sevenson follows him into side control.

It looks like Reskird Hinterman has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Sevenson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like Sevenson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Sevenson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sevenson has hold of Hinterman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hinterman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sevenson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hinterman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sevenson throws a right and a left that Hinterman avoids nicely.
Sevenson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hinterman circles away.
Reskird Hinterman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sven Sevenson.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
