PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Thomas Gunner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aaron Witt!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Witt gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Witt wants the takedown. Gunner is fighting it off but Witt persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gunner's guard against the cage.

Gunner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gunner wants it to stay on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Thomas Gunner will probably get the nod.

Gunner feints a jab promting Witt to slip. Gunner then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Witt slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Gunner's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gunner duly obliges.

Gunner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Witt is working away from the top position though.
