PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Morse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nero Sabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morse comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica-No Remorse. The crowd seem to be enjoying Sabu's choice of entrance music: The Enemy . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Morse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nero Sabu!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morse throws a combination that misses

and Sabu counters with a shoot takedown. Morse fights it but they end up in guard.
Sabu looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Morse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sabu on the ground.
Morse is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sabu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Morse dives on top into guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Morse wants to stand but Sabu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Morse stands up and waves to Sabu to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Morse looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Morse misses with a series of wild punches.

Morse drops Sabu with a left right combo! Morse follows him down to the ground into side control.

Sabu is rocked!

It looks like Nero Sabu has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Morse tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Sabu is still in real trouble! Can Morse finish him?

Morse stands up and beckons Sabu to his feet.
Morse misses with the combination.
Sabu seems to have recovered his senses.
David Morse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sabu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sabu gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Morse.
Morse lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sabu circles away quickly and effectively.
Morse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Morse thuds a left hand into Sabu's body.
Morse throws a right hand that Sabu ducks under and follows up with a left that Sabu also avoids with ease.
Sabu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Morse Throws a clean left jab. Morse Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Sabu's chin! Sabu crumbles to the ground and Morse follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Morse!
