Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Maccarone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Mcdonel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesse Mcdonel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Mcdonel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Maccarone jumps guard but Mcdonel stands there with Maccarone around his waist. Maccarone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Maccarone has gone for a leg lock! Mcdonel slips out almost immediately though and dives into Maccarone's guard.

Maccarone has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mcdonel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maccarone.

Mcdonel decides to stand up, so the ref orders Maccarone to his feet.

Maccarone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mcdonel looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mcdonel looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mcdonel !

Oh Maccarone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mcdonel slaps away a takedown attempt from Maccarone, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mcdonel throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Maccarone's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mcdonel dives in looking to finish as Maccarone flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mcdonel 's strikes! Mcdonel is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Maccarone's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Maccarone was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jesse Mcdonel !
