Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skaar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Soini is on top in guard.
Soini prevents Skaar from getting back to his feet.
Soini wants to get up but he can't break Skaar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Skaar kicks Soini off and gets to his feet.
Soini fails to land the takedown.

and Skaar counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timo Soini. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soini wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Soini taking punishment in the form of punches.
Skaar working the ground and pound but Soini is defending the strikes.
Skaar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soini. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Skaar is putting a hurting on Soini here, landing some big shots from side control.

Soini manages to work his way to half guard, despite Skaar's best efforts.
Soini is breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Skaar connects with a nice short shot to Soini's temple.
Oh Soini is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Skaar lands a big elbow - Soini is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Skaar!
