Ribeiro looking to score a takedown here. Materson is defending well but Ribeiro drives through and ends up in Materson's guard.

Ribeiro has gone for a leg lock! Materson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ribeiro's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ribeiro walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Materson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Ribeiro closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
