Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson throws a jab but it's blocked by Slaughter.
Wilson misses with a hook.
Slaughter shoots for a takedown but Wilson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wilson misses with a double jab

so Slaughter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slaughter works over Wilson with some ground and pound from guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wilson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Slaughter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wilson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wilson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Slaughter has his foot on Wilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wilson works his way back into a safe position though.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Slaughter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Slaughter takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Slaughter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Wilson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Slaughter knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Slaughter wants to control but Wilson is keeping busy.

Lance Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Slaughter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wilson.
Wilson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slaughter circles away quickly and effectively.
Wilson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slaughter's waist but Slaughter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilson off to one side.

and Slaughter counters with a shoot takedown. Wilson fights it but they end up in guard.

Slaughter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wilson dives on top into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wilson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Slaughter is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wilson frees his head nicely. Oh but Slaughter has switched to an armbar! Wilson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
