The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strykzilla doesn't manage to clinch there - Cole circles away.
Cole thows a body shot but no joy.
Strykzilla throws a lazy head kick
and Cole counters with a nice uppercut.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Strykzilla is defended easily by Cole.
Cole throws out a loose jab but Strykzilla uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cole rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Strykzilla moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown by Strykzilla or perhaps it was just good defense by Cole which made him look bad.

Strykzilla closes the distance and clinches up with Cole, looking for a takedown. Strykzilla pushes Cole against the cage but Cole circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Strykzilla counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cole's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rampage Strykzilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

No joy there for Cole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Strykzilla had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cole defends it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Augustus Cole.
