PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daren Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rybuc Youllter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Jason lands but Youllter takes it in his stride.
Youllter shoots in and drives through. Jason sprawls well.
Youllter throws a head kick but Jason moves out of range.
Youllter shoots in but no luck this time.

Jason throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Youllter was covering up waiting for the punch and Jason finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Youllter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jason can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jason knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Youllter on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Daren Jason just wasn't active enough.

Jason closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Youllter to the mat! Youllter manages to get full guard.

Jason is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Youllter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Youllter has escaped and now he's on top!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Youllter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jason's guard.

Youllter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jason is just riding it out for now. Youllter eventually gives up the hold.
Jason is staying active underneath Youllter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Youllter thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Jason is trying to maintain the position but Youllter is very close to passing his half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jason is looking to stall here but Youllter recovers full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daren Jason.

Jason keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Youllter is defended easily by Jason.
Jason stuffs the takedown attempt from Youllter. Youllter gets slowly back to his feet.

Jason darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Jason is keen to just control but Youllter is a slippery customer.
Jason thows a huge punch but Youllter dodges it nicely.
Youllter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jason wants to control but Youllter is keeping him busy.

Jason is stalling here. Youllter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jason seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Youllter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Youllter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jason keeps working.

Youllter has hold of Jason's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jason seems comfortable defending it but Youllter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jason is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jason is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Youllter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
