Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Walter Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kane Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Walter Gunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kane Davis!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gunn.
Gunn shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice sprawl there from Davis as Gunn shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Walter Gunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gunn slips a jab and a cross from Davis.
Gunn wants to clinch.
No luck for Gunn with that takedown attempt.

It looks like Walter Gunn has been cut.
Gunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Gunn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Davis as he avoids it easily.
Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Davis wants to get back to striking at distance but Gunn won't allow it.

Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gunn has him pressed against the cage.
Gunn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Davis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Gunn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gunn tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gunn.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Davis tries a head kick but it misses.

Gunn is breathing heavily.

Davis throws the kick towards the body but Gunn avoids it.
A right-left combo lands from Davis.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gunn shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Gunn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gunn slips a jab and a cross from Davis.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Davis lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gunn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gunn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kane Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gunn throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily.
Davis throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gunn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Gunn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walter Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Gunn feints and as Davis raises his hands in defense, Gunn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davis wants to stand and escape but Gunn is having none of it.

Gunn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gunn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Davis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gunn content to stall in guard here.

Davis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gunn is one step ahead there.
Davis keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Walter Gunn just wasn't active enough.
Davis throws a combination that misses

and Gunn counters with a takedown into side control.

Gunn is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Davis's shoulder. That is not cool.

Davis is trying to get back to half guard.

Gunn is trying to get an arm triangle but Davis is defending well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gunn landing strikes.
Davis is not content to let Gunn control the position.
Gunn has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gunn working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Walter Gunn will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Davis throws a series of punches but Gunn avoids them all with ease.

Gunn closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gunn lands in his opponent's guard.
Gunn prevents Davis from getting back to his feet.
Davis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Gunn showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunn pushes down on Davis's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Davis is trying to stand up here but Gunn is controlling him well.

Gunn seems to be working for a kimura but Davis defends the submission attempt.

Gunn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Davis is refusing to be controlled, as Gunn sits in half guard.
Gunn passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Davis!

Gunn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Davis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Davis shrugs it off.
Gunn lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Gunn is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Davis has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Davis is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Gunn locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Davis is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Walter Gunn!
