Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samppa Palmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Carwin looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmu wants to clinch

and Carwin counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Palmu's face as Carwin controls the position.
Carwin looks up at the clock and then as Palmu takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Carwin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Carwin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Carwin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
