The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maynard closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters with a nice kick to the body.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maynard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Maynard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Maynard on that attempt.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
