And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Omaha Steak!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson tries to land a leg kick but Steak saw it coming and moves away.
Steak connects with the punch.
Steak throws a big shot that misses.
Peterson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Peterson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Steak jabs at Peterson's body.
Nice body punch from Steak.
Peterson swats away the attempt to clinch by Steak.
Steak throws a leg kick
and Peterson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steak misses the jab.
Peterson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Peterson motions for Steak to come forward. Peterson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Peterson tries to score a body lock takedown but Steak shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Steak feints a jab promting Peterson to slip. Steak then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Peterson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Peterson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Peterson moves away.
Steak tries to score with a low kick but Peterson moves his leg out of the way.
Peterson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Peterson slips a jab and a cross from Steak.
Steak swings for the body but Peterson moves out of range.
A low kick from Steak is predictable there
and Peterson counters with an outside leg kick.
Steak blocks a low kick nicely.
Peterson throws a leg kick which misses Steak's front leg but catches the back leg as Steak tries to avoid it.
Steak has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Steak throws a jab when Peterson was well out of range.
Peterson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Steak is out of range and Peterson settles back down.
Peterson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Omaha Steak will probably get the nod.

Steak throws a right and a left that Peterson avoids nicely.
Peterson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Peterson lands a leg kick that knocks Steak off balance momentarily.
Steak bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Peterson's head backwards.
Peterson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Steak paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Peterson throws a low kick but Steak avoids it.
Peterson walks into a straight right hand from Steak.
Steak throws a nice inside leg kick.

Peterson walks into a left hand.
Peterson takes one on the button.
Peterson moves out of range as Steak throws a body kick.
Steak scores with a decent looking hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peterson looks to land a combination. Steak sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Steak fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Peterson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Peterson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Peterson counters with a solid body kick.

Peterson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Steak's efforts to push away.

Peterson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Steak is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Steak counters with a left and a right that stings Peterson.
Steak throws a right and a left that Peterson avoids nicely.

Steak does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Steak's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Peterson blocks a low kick nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steak throws a head kick that misses.
Steak is breathing heavily.
Steak throws a nice looking combination but Peterson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A bone on bone clash there as Steak blocks the leg kick.
Peterson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Steak circles away quickly and effectively.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Steak scores with a one two! Peterson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Omaha Steak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Steak lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Peterson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Peterson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Peterson throws a low kick, looking for Steak's leg but Steak calmly moves out of range.
Steak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Omaha Steak is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Steak feints and then cracks Peterson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Peterson down.

John Peterson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Steak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
