Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cat Litter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cat Litter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Lytle!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lytle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Litter looks for a takedown but Lytle sprawls well.
Lytle jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lytle throws a left and a right that both miss

so Litter counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lytle looking for a guillotine here but Litter defends easily.

Lytle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Litter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lytle looking for subs off his back but Litter has passed one foot through into half guard.

Lytle actively working from the bottom here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Litter moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Lytle.

Lytle throws out a loose jab but Litter uses good head movement to avoid it.

Litter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lytle.

Lytle throws a left and a right that both miss

and Litter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lytle's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lytle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Litter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Litter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Litter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lytle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Litter has managed to get both his arms back between Lytle's legs - danger averted.
Litter is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That was a close round but I would say that Cat Litter will probably get the nod.

Lytle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Litter circles away quickly and effectively.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
