Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bala Bala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bala comes to the cage accompanied by Tough at the top. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha looks for the body kick but Bala saw that one coming.
Rocha fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Rocha looks to throw the jab but Bala is out of range.
Bala doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rocha counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Rocha tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rocha has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rocha works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Rocha misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Bala is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rocha's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Rocha is trying to control. Bala wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rocha loads up on a big right hand but Bala slips the punch.
Bala fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rocha jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Rocha avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rocha throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bala stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rocha connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Bala to the floor! Rocha dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like Bala Bala has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rocha is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Bala is hurt! He's hurt bad - Rocha fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Bala from any more punishment! Congratulations to Rocha! Great finish!
