The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover throws a low kick, looking for Heksel's leg but Heksel calmly moves out of range.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Heksel. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hoover looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Heksel has picked Hoover up and slammed him! Hoover can't keep hold of the triangle and Heksel manages to pass to side control!
