The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smokeleaf scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Smokeleaf misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Othella.

Othella shoots for a double leg takedown but Smokeleaf sprawls well. He's pushed Othella's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smokeleaf connects with an inside leg kick.
Othella shoots in but Smokeleaf avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Othella steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Smokeleaf. That one must have hurt.

Othella chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Smokeleaf can pounce on him.
Othella takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Smokeleaf feints and then cracks Othella's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Othella down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smokeleaf drops Othella with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Othella looks back up at him and smiles so Smokeleaf waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Othella is rocked!
Smokeleaf fakes the body blow, causing Othella to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Othella goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
