Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amali Yeboah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pieni Mies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yeboah lands a left and a right that send Mies crashing to the mat, dazed. Yeboah thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Pieni Mies has been cut.
Yeboah shoots in for a double leg but Mies sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Yeboah fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Yeboah counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mies's guard now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Yeboah wants to stand but Mies has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Yeboah content to control rather than advance.

Mies is looking to control Yeboah's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mies avoid being mounted?

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mies can do anything to dispel that myth.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mies tries to bum rush Yeboah with a series of wild strikes but Yeboah uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mies has a takedown stuffed.
Amali Yeboah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pieni Mies.

Mies looks gassed!

Yeboah darts in and clinches Mies up against the cage.

Mies breaks from the clinch.
Mies slaps away a takedown attempt from Yeboah, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yeboah tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mies swivels and escapes.
Mies shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yeboah as he jumps to the side.

Mies tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yeboah swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Mies!
Mies lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Mies shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yeboah as he avoids it easily.

Yeboah fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mies, pushing him back against the cage.
Mies wants to break the clinch but can't.
Yeboah jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mies walks away with a smile on his face. Yeboah gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mies fails with the takedown.
Yeboah misses with a wild combination.

Mies tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Yeboah counters with a one-two to the body.

Mies feints a jab promting Yeboah to slip. Mies then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Yeboah slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Mies ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Mies shoots in for a takedown but Yeboah shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mies looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mies stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mies wants it to stay on the feet.

Mies wants to get back to striking at distance but Yeboah won't allow it.

Yeboah has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yeboah lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mies circles away quickly and effectively.

Yeboah gets tackled into the cage by Mies. Mies maintains the clinch.

Yeboah shoots and misses

and Mies counters by clinching up.

Mies utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Mies is trying to maintain a safe position but Yeboah gets an underhook and turns Mies into the cage.

Mies breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mies throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yeboah's waist but Yeboah gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mies off to one side.

Nice takedown defense from Yeboah. No joy for Mies on that attempt.
Amali Yeboah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pieni Mies.
Yeboah shoots in and drives through. Mies sprawls well.
Mies connects with a body shot.

Yeboah dives in and scores a takedown into Mies's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mies is trying to keep Yeboah in close.
Mies throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Mies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yeboah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mies is trying to hold Yeboah in close to prevent damage but Yeboah has managed to pass into half guard.
Mies makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mies.

Mies looking to hit a scissor sweep but Yeboah is one step ahead there.

Mies has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Yeboah is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mies.

Mies is trying to control Yeboah's posture but Yeboah avoids it.
Mies manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yeboah's best efforts.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mies is not content to let Yeboah control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Pieni Mies will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Mies tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yeboah shoots in for a takedown but Mies shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mies closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yeboah to the mat! Yeboah manages to get full guard.

Yeboah is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mies is controlling him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mies stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yeboah swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mies slips nicely into half guard.
Mies is keen to just control but Yeboah is a slippery customer.
Yeboah is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mies lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mies is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yeboah sees it coming and defends easily.
Yeboah tries to roll over but Mies keeps him under control.

Mies is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yeboah is just riding it out for now. Mies eventually gives up the hold.

Yeboah is defending against the submission attempts here by Mies.
Amali Yeboah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mies passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yeboah!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Mies.

Mies shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mies showed some decent athleticism there.

Mies is working for a submission of some sort.
Mies with the ground and pound but Yeboah uses the opportunity to regain guard.
