Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antti Timonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and jean rouqo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timonen throws a nice looking combination but rouqo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Timonen closes this distance looking for a takedown but rouqo circles away.
Timonen throws a combination. rouqo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Timonen takes a swing at rouqo's ribcage but misses.
Timonen throws a head kick that misses.
Timonen cracks rouqo with a right hand to the side of the head.
rouqo throws a nice looking combination but Timonen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
rouqo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Timonen.

Timonen wants to control from the top but rouqo keeps moving.

Timonen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but rouqo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Timonen has rouqo in his guard.

Timonen swings wildly with an uppercut but rouqo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Timonen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Timonen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but rouqo has him pressed against the cage.
Timonen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. rouqo smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Antti Timonen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Timonen misses with a shot to the body

and rouqo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Timonen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! rouqo escapes and throws Timonen's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Timonen tries to buck rouqo off but rouqo is having none of it.

rouqo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Timonen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
rouqo controlling the pace for now.
The referee warns Timonen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Timonen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

rouqo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Timonen is trying to reverse the position but instead rouqo has taken his back - oops!

rouqo controlling the position well here. Timonen rolled but rouqo kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Timonen is trying to break free.
rouqo is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Will rouqo go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Timonen rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Timonen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of rouqo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take rouqo's back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Timonen is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Timonen doesn't have the hooks in and rouqo manages to turn into his guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

No luck for Timonen with that takedown attempt.
Timonen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Timonen tries to break the clinch but rouqo is controlling the position.
Timonen tries to stall but rouqo uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Timonen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Timonen wants to get back to striking at distance but rouqo won't allow it.

rouqo decides to pull guard.
rouqo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
rouqo wants to sweep but no luck.

Timonen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! rouqo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Timonen, into his guard.
rouqo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Timonen is proving hard to escape from.

Timonen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Timonen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but rouqo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
rouqo is looking to work some ground and pound but Timonen has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

rouqo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Timonen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

rouqo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Timonen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! rouqo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Timonen pulls down on the head and he's put rouqo to sleep! This one is all over!
