PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lu Bu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Friedrich Nietzsche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nietzsche has chosen Heartbeats as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Nietzsche. Bu does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nietzsche connects with a looping right hand.
Nietzsche scores with a jab. Bu acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nietzsche tries to work over Bu's front leg with a kick but Bu checks it.
Nietzsche fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bu manages to avoid it.
Nietzsche throws a shot from downtown. Bu moves away and avoids it.

Nietzsche is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Bu wants to get back to his feet but Nietzsche drags him back down.

The strikes coming from Nietzsche are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bu throws a series of strikes that have Nietzsche backpedaling.
Nietzsche tries for a takedown but Bu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bu gets tackled into the cage by Nietzsche. Nietzsche maintains the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Bu scores with a nice short uppercut.

Nietzsche creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bu sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Nietzsche throws an elbow but Bu slips to the side and avoids it well.
Bu pushes Nietzsche away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nietzsche gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
