Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marty Mcghee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al has chosen Overkill as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marty Mcghee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Al!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Mcghee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Al throws a right hand that Mcghee ducks under and follows up with a left that Mcghee also avoids with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Al. Mcghee does a little dance to reset his feet.
Al fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mcghee looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Al slips a straight right by Mcghee.
Mcghee showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Al.
Al throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A clash of legs there as Al blocks the low kick.
Al misses with an uppercut. Mcghee saw that one coming.
Mcghee blocks a jab.
Al misses with a hook to the body
and Mcghee counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mcghee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Al swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Al pulls Mcghee in to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mr Al.
Mcghee checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Al ducks under a wild hook from Mcghee.
Al fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Al ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mcghee moves away.
Mcghee slips a jab from Al.
Mr Al is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mcghee keeps Al at a distance using the push kick.
Mcghee lands a nice hook to Al's body. Al takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Al cracks the inside of Mcghee's front leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcghee looks for a takedown but Al sprawls well.
Al lands with an overhand left.
Mcghee showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Al.
Nice takedown defense from Al. No joy for Mcghee on that attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Al digs a good hook to Mcghee's body.
Mcghee is breathing heavily.
Al moves out of range of the body kick.
Mcghee with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Al to score with a decent uppercut.
Al lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Marty Mcghee has been cut.
Al pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mcghee throws a jab when Al was well out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Al pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mcghee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Al defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marty Mcghee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Al throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Al swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Al scores with a hook.
Al throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mcghee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Al connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Mcghee pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Al throws a series of punches but Mcghee avoids them all with ease.
Mcghee misses with a shot to the body
and Al counters with a crisp one two that drops Mcghee! Al thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mcghee to his feet! Mcghee is in big trouble!
Mcghee is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Al waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mcghee.
Mr Al seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Al misses with a double jab.
Al misses the body punch
and Mcghee counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Al misses with a body shot.
Al uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Al waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mcghee.
Al throws the kick towards the body but Mcghee avoids it.
Al thows a body shot but no joy.
Al bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mcghee's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Al looks to throw the jab but Mcghee is out of range.
Al is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mcghee had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Mcghee swings for the body but Al moves out of range.
Mcghee throws a head kick that Al semi-blocks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mr Al dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Marty Mcghee's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Al misses with a kick to the body.
Al misses with a wild body shot.
Al throws a jab but it's blocked by Mcghee.
Mcghee scores with a body shot.
A head kick misses from Al.
A punch combination from Al misses.
Mcghee is looking to wear down Al with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A shot to the liver by Al. Beautiful body shot.
Mr Al seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Al pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Al misses with a combination
and Mcghee counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Al gets caught flat footed, as Mcghee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcghee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mcghee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Al is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Al holds on to Mcghee's head and controls the position momentarily.
Al managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Mcghee.
Al is trying to control Mcghee's posture but Mcghee avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Al parries the strikes from Mcghee easily there. Mcghee is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Al to escape.
Mcghee passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Al!
Al blocking the ground and pound.
Al looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Al trying to control the action but Mcghee just sinks the hooks in.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcghee has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Al has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Marty Mcghee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mcghee controlling well, preventing Al from escaping the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mcghee is working for a rear naked choke. Al is not defending it well and Mcghee has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Al refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Al's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marty Mcghee!
