Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Oddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machida Alonso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oddi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Iron Maiden - The Trooper. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oddi has taken the fight to the clinch.

Alonso tightens his grip and picks Oddi up, before dumping him to the ground. Oddi manages to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Oddi is looking to stand up but Alonso isn't so interested in that idea.
Alonso postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Oddi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alonso is controlling him.
Oddi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alonso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Oddi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alonso postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Oddi in real trouble here! The ref calls for Oddi to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
