Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sung Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Oven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ode to General Kim Il Sung. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Oven!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oven swivels and escapes.
Good standup being displayed there by Oven as he connects with a hook.
Oven throws an off balance right hand

and Kim counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oven won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Oven is not content to let Kim control the position.

Kim looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Oven defending against the ground and pound.

Kim working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Oven is trying to control Kim's posture but Kim avoids it.

Oven is looking to regain half guard here but Kim keeps moving and retains side control.
Kim is looking to take a break and control but Oven is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oven trying his best to control but Kim has mounted him.
Kim trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Oven tries to hold on but Kim postures up.

Kim has control of Oven's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Oven regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Oven is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Kim can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oven is looking to escape.

Kim working for a guillotine from mount but Oven is in no mood to give up.

Kim goes for an armbar but Oven turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Oven.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kim escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Oven gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kim utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kim has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oven can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kim is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Oven is looking to work some ground and pound but Kim has wrist control.
Oven lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Oven lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Oven postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Oven got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kim has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oven has managed to get both his arms back between Kim's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oven is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sung Kim will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kim moves out of range of the strikes.
Kim throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oven circles away from the clinch attempt
and Oven counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Sung Kim has been cut.
Kim slips a straight right by Oven.

Oven dives in and scores a takedown into Kim's guard.
Oven passes Kim's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Oven wants to pass the guard but Kim is defending well.
Oven is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Oven lands with some strikes.

Oven looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oven fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Oven cracks Kim with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooh a big shot lands for Oven! Kim is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
