Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Castle!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in and drives through. Castle sprawls well.
Castle wants to clinch up but Sanchez keeps it at a distance.
Sanchez lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Sanchez has a takedown stuffed.
Castle scores with a kick to the midsection.
Sanchez checks a leg kick.
Castle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanchez was well out of range. Poor timing from Castle.

Castle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Castle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Juan Sanchez has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sanchez attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Sanchez feints and then cracks Castle's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Castle down.
The fight stays on the outside here - Castle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Castle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanchez moves away.
Sanchez throws a chopping leg kick but Castle manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Castle moves out of range as Sanchez throws a body kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sanchez, as that shot connected.
Castle misses the shot to the body.
Castle takes a swing at Sanchez's ribcage but misses.
Castle throws a leg kick
and Sanchez counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanchez blocks a head kick by Castle.
Sanchez avoids the head kick by Castle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Castle throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Sanchez scores with a spinning back kick!

Sanchez scores with a takedown into Castle's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Castle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Castle looks gassed!
Sanchez trying to control but Castle is working from the bottom.

Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Castle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Juan Sanchez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sanchez is looking to clinch but Castle is avoiding it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Castle. Sanchez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle throws a series of punches but Sanchez moves out of range.
Castle misses with an uppercut.
Sanchez throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Castle misses with a leg kick.

Sanchez gets a takedown into half guard.
Sanchez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Castle defends it well.
Castle is looking for a sweep. Sanchez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sanchez is taking a breather. Castle says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanchez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Castle for as long as he can get away with.

Sanchez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Castle is just riding it out for now. Sanchez eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Castle sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Castle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sanchez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sanchez looking to sit in guard and control but Castle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sanchez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Castle is aware though and is defending well.
Sanchez controls Castle momentarily but Castle frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Castle trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Castle throws a big right hand that misses.
Castle lands a couple of digs.
Castle wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position.

Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Castle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sanchez is tightening it up a little... Castle has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Castle reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Castle taps out! Nice BJJ there by Sanchez!
