PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ima Yerface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yerface comes into the arena with Big Pimpin blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slaughter moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Yerface misses with a combination
and Slaughter counters with a nice uppercut.
Yerface tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Slaughter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Yerface in particular looking to stall.

Slaughter is in all sorts of trouble here.
Slaughter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slaughter's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Yerface sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Slaughter is bucking up trying to escape but Yerface cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Yerface seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Slaughter for as long as he can get away with.

Slaughter isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Yerface stacks Slaughter on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Yerface!
Yerface takes a little break here. Slaughter wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ima Yerface will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ima Yerface.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yerface, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
