Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice misses with a series of wild punches.
Zero shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Slice as he avoids it easily.
Zero shoots and misses
and Slice counters with a left and a right that stings Zero.
Zero's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Slice connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zero scrambles back to his feet.
Zero misses with a takedown attempt
and Slice counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kimbo Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nero Zero.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slice connects with a right hand. Zero shakes it off.
Slice wants to clinch.

and Slice counters with a right hand to the body.
Slice doesn't manage to clinch there - Zero circles away.
Slice scores with a hook to the body. Zero takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Slice scores with a jab.

Slice lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zero backs up against the cage.
It looks like Nero Zero has been cut.
Slice throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Zero is rocked!
Slice throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Zero's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Slice dives in looking to finish as Zero flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Slice's strikes! Slice is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Zero's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Zero was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kimbo Slice!
