Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Vovochka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Zalachenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zalachenko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Torture Chamber kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Vovochka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Zalachenko!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zalachenko gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Vovochka gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Zalachenko regains guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Vovochka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vovochka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Vovochka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Vovochka wants to control from the top but Zalachenko keeps moving.
Vovochka throws a big right hand that misses.

Vovochka drops back looking for a leg! Zalachenko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zalachenko manages to kick Vovochka off! Vovochka jumps back into Zalachenko's guard.

Vovochka keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zalachenko's head.

Vovochka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vovochka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Zalachenko can't keep his opponent in guard - Vovochka advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Vovochka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zalachenko has managed to free his arm - good work.
Vovochka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zalachenko's head.

Vovochka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zalachenko is just riding it out for now. Vovochka eventually gives up the hold.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vovochka lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vovochka thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zalachenko's head.
Vovochka winds up and cracks Zalachenko with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Vovochka is working for a kimura but Zalachenko is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vovochka lands a nice short elbow.

Vovochka is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Zalachenko defends it well.

Vovochka is looking for a kimura but Zalachenko is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vovochka to get the leverage.

Vovochka is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Zalachenko is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
