Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Carrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carrey comes to the cage accompanied by When the man comes around - Johnny Cash. Carrey is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carrey shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carrey is breathing heavily.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Smith trying to keep a closed guard but Carrey is proving a slippery customer.
Smith is looking to stand up but Carrey isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith keeping full guard, as Carrey tries to pass.

Carrey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carrey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smith working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carrey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carrey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Smith looking for a triangle here. Carrey is fighting it but it looks tight! Smith pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Carrey is tapping out - this one is all over!
