Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Burov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burov comes to the cage accompanied by Russian Rocket. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Roger Silva!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Burov counters with a right hand to the body.
Burov blocks a head kick by Silva.
Burov misses with a wild combination.
Silva jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burov tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burov to the ground. Burov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Roger Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burov avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Burov defends it well.

Burov wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Silva has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Burov works to full guard.
Burov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Burov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pavel Burov will probably get the nod.

Burov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Burov lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Silva is looking to close the distance but Burov sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Silva crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Silva is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
