Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Mora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taz Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Mora tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mora manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mora tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Taz Silva seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Mora's defenses.
Mora prevents a takedown attempt there.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mora pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mora lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mora. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Mora tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.

Silva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mora throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silva counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mora is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Mora lands a jab-cross combination.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Mora back into the cage.
Silva lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Mora is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Taz Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Silva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Silva sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Mora to the ground! Silva dives into full mount looking to finish!

Silva with shots to the head and body - Mora looks very uncomfortable down there.
Mora wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Silva.
Silva has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mora squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mora to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mora shrugs it off.
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Silva throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mora because Silva loaded up on that one.
Mora is bucking up trying to escape but Silva cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Silva misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silva postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Mora bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Silva and the fight is over!
