The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahara dives in and grabs Torn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Torn pushes down on Takahara's head and hops out.
Takahara shoots for a double leg takedown but Torn sprawls well. He's pushed Takahara's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Torn stuffs the takedown attempt from Takahara. Takahara gets slowly back to his feet.
Jake Torn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masayuki Takahara.
Torn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takahara circles away quickly and effectively.
Torn lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Masayuki Takahara has been cut.

Masayuki Takahara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Takahara or perhaps it was just good defense by Torn which made him look bad.

Torn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Torn could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
