Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Chyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexi Laiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chyn comes to the cage accompanied by I wish . Laiho is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Children of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chyn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jab by Laiho.
Chyn moves out of range of the body kick from Laiho.
Laiho lands a nice looking body shot.
Chyn throws a right hand that Laiho ducks under and follows up with a left that Laiho also avoids with ease.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Laiho stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Laiho wants it to stay on the feet.
Laiho is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Laiho ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chyn moves away.

Alexi Laiho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Chyn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Laiho sprawls well. Laiho wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chyn gets slowly back to his feet.

Chyn closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Laiho did well to prevent Chyn getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Chyn is looking for a kimura here.
Chyn wants to pass the guard but Laiho is defending well.

Chyn has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Laiho is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chyn takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Chyn is working for a guillotine from mount but Laiho frees his head quite easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chyn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Laiho manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Alexi Laiho seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Laiho is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Laiho throws a leg kick but Chyn checks it.

Laiho throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Laiho is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Chyn rather than just go for the knockout.
No luck for Chyn with that takedown attempt.
Laiho defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chyn.

Chyn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laiho tries to avoid it but Chyn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laiho to the ground. Laiho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chyn tries to bum rush Laiho with a series of wild strikes but Laiho uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Laiho fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chyn.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chyn lands a big shot there that rocks Laiho but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chyn looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
