Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Tresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kerry Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ward's choice of entrance music: People are strange by The Doors . Kerry Ward has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kerry Ward!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tresh thows a body shot but no joy.
Tresh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tresh moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Ward lands a big uppercut and Tresh crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Tresh looks OK. Ward waves Tresh back to his feet!


It looks like Niko Tresh has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tresh is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ward throws a head kick but Tresh moves out of range.
Ward keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ward misses with a jab, cross combination.

Ward looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Oh Tresh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ward has managed to clinch.

Ward's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tresh seems to have got his legs back now.
Ward throws a series of punches but Tresh avoids them all with ease.

Tresh drives through with a takedown into Ward's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Tresh drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ward manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tresh has Ward in his guard.

Tresh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ward doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ward manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tresh has his foot on Ward's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ward works his way back into a safe position though.

Tresh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ward gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tresh is looking for a triangle but Ward pushes his legs off easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ward trying to control the position from guard on top but Tresh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tresh lands a jab to Ward's midsection.
Ward has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ward looks to land a combination but Tresh avoids it well.
Kerry Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ward is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ward misses with an uppercut. Tresh saw that one coming.
Tresh with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Tresh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ward tries to avoid it but Tresh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ward to the ground. Ward escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tresh moves out of range of the strikes.

Ward scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Tresh manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ward's best efforts.
Ward is breathing heavily.
Tresh is looking to control Ward's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tresh avoid being mounted?
Tresh looks like he's trying to stand up.
Tresh moves into full guard.

Ward avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ward got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tresh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ward has managed to get both his arms back between Tresh's legs - danger averted.

Ward gets to his feet. Tresh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tresh misses with a takedown attempt - Ward sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tresh misses with a series of wild punches.
Ward tries to clinch but Tresh is having none of it.
Ward misses with a looping left.

Tresh scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Tresh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ward does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ward is refusing to be controlled, as Tresh sits in half guard.
Tresh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tresh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ward circles away quickly and effectively.
Tresh fails to land with a series of punches.
Ward tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tresh is looking to wear down Ward with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Ward drops Tresh with a beautiful combination! Tresh stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ward is looking for the KO!

Ward loads up on a big right hand but Tresh slips the punch.

Ward shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ward decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Ward drops Tresh with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Tresh! Ward dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
