PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Martinez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Juicy. Chris Maia told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Maia's head backwards.
A left lands for Martinez.
Maia misses with a takedown
and Martinez counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Martinez counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Maia drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Martinez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rafael Martinez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Maia.
Martinez lands an uppercut.
Maia takes an elbow to the forehead.
Martinez gets through Maia's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Maia fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Martinez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Martinez throws a shot to the body.

Oooooh!!! Martinez has knocked Maia down with a huge combo! Martinez steps away and waves a wobbly Maia back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Maia is rocked!
Martinez ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Maia out cold! The fight is over!
