Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelly Myers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Budgell!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Budgell but Budgell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Budgell shoots in and bounces Myers off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Myers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Budgell's guard.
Budgell keeping full guard, as Myers tries to pass.
Myers drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Budgell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Myers has Budgell in his guard.
Budgell trying to control but Myers is working from the bottom.
Myers is looking to sinch up a triangle. Budgell throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Myers's body to avoid the submission. Myers has instead reached around Budgell's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Myers arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Kelly Myers!
