The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from France is defended easily by Jones.
France tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No joy there for France, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Paris France has been cut.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jones has cracked France with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jones lands another huge swinging hook and France tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save France, before Jones can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jon Jones!
