Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes to the cage accompanied by Slayed. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimbo Carwin!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carwin takes one to the chin there.
Carwin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Carwin pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Brown closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Carwin quickly recovers to half guard.
Brown winds up and cracks Carwin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Brown thows a huge punch but Carwin dodges it nicely.
Brown passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carwin!
Brown scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Carwin?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brown is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Brown fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Carwin is rocked!
Brown unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Carwin wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Brown celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chad Brown!
A relieved looking Chad Brown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
