Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Melanko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Roode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Roode!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melanko slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Melanko connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Bobby Roode has been cut.

Roode closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Roode working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Melanko is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Roode asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Melanko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roode on the ground.

Roode is working to tighten is grip on Melanko's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Melanko has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Roode is really squeezing tight and eventually Melanko passes out! Roode breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
