The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sixx throws a right and a left that Papadopoulos avoids nicely.

Papadopoulos dives in and grabs Sixx's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sixx pushes down on Papadopoulos's head and hops out.

Papadopoulos is trying desperately to land a takedown but Sixx is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Papadopoulos.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sixx lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Papadopoulos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Papadopoulos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Papadopoulos shoots in looking for a takedown. Sixx tries to sprawl out of it but Papadopoulos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sixx manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sixx lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Papadopoulos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sixx but Sixx pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sixx clobbers Papadopoulos with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sixx enables Papadopoulos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sixx manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
