Karzie has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Roman Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kammy Karzie!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karzie loads up on a big right hand but Davis slips the punch.

Davis gets a double leg takedown into Karzie's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Karzie controls Davis momentarily but Davis frees himself.
Karzie is trying to hold Davis in close to prevent damage but Davis has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Karzie sees it coming and defends easily.

Davis seems to be working for a kimura but Karzie defends the submission attempt.
Karzie is trying to stand back up but Davis is controlling him
Still in half guard, Davis seems content to control.

Davis wants to work for an arm triangle but Karzie is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Davis passes the guard and advances to mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Davis looking for a guillotine from mount but Karzie is having none of it.
Davis controlling his opponent.
Karzie is squirming around, avoiding Davis's attempts to control the action.
Davis avoids the attempt from Karzie to control.
Karzie wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Davis content just to control the position here.
Karzie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Karzie is trying to stand up.
Karzie is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Davis moves to back control.

Davis is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Karzie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karzie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Davis looking to secure an arm triangle but Karzie defends it well.
Karzie holds on to Davis around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.

Davis tries to control but Karzie wriggling away.

Davis is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Karzie is surviving well by controlling Davis's body position as best he can.
Davis fails to take his opponent's back.
Karzie is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Davis has taken his back.
Davis gets his hands free as Karzie looks to control.

Karzie showing good submission defense here.
Karzie wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis trying to control.

Davis has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Karzie is in real trouble here. Davis gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Karzie is tapping out! Davis wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Roman Davis!
