The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Black stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nice uppercut lands for Black. That snapped Ashley's head back.

Black has closed the distance and engaged Ashley in a clinch.
Ashley tries to score a body lock takedown but Black shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ashley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Black avoids it really well and circles away.
Ashley shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rick Ashley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Black ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Ashley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Black moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Black lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Ashley at a distance.
Ashley walks into a jab.
Decent striking displayed by Black there.
Black tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ashley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ashley fails with a takedown attempt.

Black pushes Ashley up against the cage in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Black.
Ashley has had enough of the clinch but Black keeps him there for the moment.
Ashley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Black fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Black throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ashley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Black fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Big Black is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Black drives through and clinches with Ashley against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Black scores with a nice short uppercut.

Ashley is rocked!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ashley. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Black breaks from the clinch.
Oh Ashley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice straight punches there by Black. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Black.
Ashley is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Black doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Ashley crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Ashley's bad books for that mishap!
