Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adon Amousou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mirko Barnett!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett throws a solid leg kick but Amousou takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barnett.
Amousou fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Barnett avoids the head kick by Amousou.

Barnett drives through and clinches with Amousou against the cage.
Amousou has had enough of the clinch but Barnett keeps him there for the moment.
Barnett with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Barnett tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Amousou avoids it.
Amousou tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Barnett tries to land a knee to the head but Amousou blocks with his arms.

Amousou gets control of Barnett's arms and successfully pulls guard. Amousou will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Amousou has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Barnett is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Amousou.
