And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Gein lands an impressive looking overhand right. Stone doesn't seem phased though.
Stone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gein defends it nicely.
Gein stuffs the takedown attempt from Stone. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.
Stone blocks a jab.
Gein lands a head kick!


It looks like Umberto Stone has been cut.
Stone shoots in looking for a takedown. Gein tries to sprawl out of it but Stone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gein manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ed Gein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Umberto Stone.
Gein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gein comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gein jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ed Gein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gein is fending him off so far but Stone persists. Nope, Gein circles away and we're back to standing.

Gein is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Nice uppercut lands for Gein. That snapped Stone's head back.
Gein throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gein stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gein is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Stone walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Gein pushes Stone off looking to stand but Stone dives back in and keeps control.
Well, if Stone is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Stone tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gein.
Stone is looking to stall here but Gein recovers full guard.
Stone slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gein manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Stone shoots in but no luck this time.
Gein cracks Stone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gein tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gein is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Stone is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gein's half guard.
Stone throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Stone wants to take a breather but Gein is having none of it.

Gein is pawing at Stone, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Stone's nose. Stone is badly hurt! Gein pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Stone tries desperately to hold on but Gein is relentless in his assault! As Stone receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Gein away and this one is in the books!
