He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The key to victory for Willy Cole has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champ looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cole is fending him off so far but Champ persists. Nope, Cole circles away and we're back to standing.
Champ shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cole pinned against the cage. Cole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Champ scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cole throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Cole is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Champ is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cole wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Champ has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cole is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Champ yanks on the arm and Cole is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Champ.
