Hennessey is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Oh My by: Roscoe Dash. Martell Hennessey is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hennessey throws a leg kick
and Wesson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Wesson moves into the clinch successfully.
Wesson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wesson throws a punch but it's blocked by Hennessey.

Hennessey is working for takedown but Wesson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Wesson is pushing Hennessey up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Wesson is pressed up against the cage. Hennessey has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wesson down to the mat. Wesson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Wesson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wesson cracks Hennessey with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Hennessey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wesson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hennessey doesn't seem bothered though.
Wesson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hennessey closes the distance and clinches up with Wesson, looking for a takedown. Hennessey pushes Wesson against the cage but Wesson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
