The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benjamin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Friedhelm throws a lazy right hand but Benjamin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Benjamin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Friedhelm darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Friedhelm is working for a submission of some sort.

Friedhelm is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Benjamin is refusing to be controlled, as Friedhelm sits in half guard.
Benjamin is trying to get back to full guard.

Friedhelm is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Benjamin is defending well though. Friedhelm let's go of the attempt for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
